I am excited to post some pictures from a beautiful wedding this weekend, but it will have to wait. This week I am volunteering at my church, First Baptist, taking pictures of VBS. What a fun time we are having so far. I’ll post some pics when I get the time. Off to edit and then finish making a delicious berry tart I am bringing to Bible study tonight.

This past Saturday morning, Steve and I put new gutters on the house. We have been having an issue with our basement flooding and part of the reason it did that is because, the gutters were not installed correctly. So we learned how to install them! We bought a chalk line and all new gutters and went crazy…2 hours later they were done and working!!
We ended the project with a water fight! What fun!
Sunday was camp opening at the family camp on Flying Point in Freeport. Steve took the next day off to relax and recuperate from the work we did the previous day. We didn’t really do anything “exciting”, we sat on the dock and drank coffee, read, walked around the shops uptown, took pictures of flowers and enjoyed a slow day. It really was sooo nice to stop and enjoy the day doing whatever we felt like. I think that it is really good for your soul to slow down and spend some time thinking and getting away from “normal” life.
